Our department offers an e-commerce exchange zone. It is a designated parking area at the police department for residents to complete online transactions in a safer, monitored location. Look for the pictured sign and the parking stall that is painted “E-Commerce”.
Tips for online exchanges:
- Meet at the police department or another well-lit, public place
- Never invite strangers to your home or go to theirs
- Bring another adult with you when possible
- Trust your instincts and walk away if something feels off
- Do not share personal information such as your address or financial details
- Use cash or secure payment methods and count items carefully before completing the exchange
