The Irvine Police Department serves a vibrant, growing community of approximately 319,000 residents across 66 square miles in Orange County.

Founded in 1975 under Chief Leo Peart, IPD has grown from 36 sworn officers and 10 support personnel to a full-service law enforcement agency recognized for excellence in community-oriented policing.
