GREAT PARK SAFETY OFFICERS
Park Safety Officers are Department members of the Irvine Police Department assigned to the Orange County Great Park and the Great Park Neighborhoods. Their primary function is to observe and report incidents of both routine and emergent nature that occur within the Great Park. Park Safety Officers may be assigned to work one of several different positions, such as roving patrol, balloon security, and act as a community relations ambassador for the Irvine Police Department provide assistance and direction as necessary.
SPECIAL EVENTS
The Special Events Unit ensures all vendors, companies, and individuals who wish to plan events in the City adhere to City ordinances and state laws related to public safety. The Special Events Unit works closely with the Regulatory Affairs Unit, the City of Irvine Community & Library Services Department, and the Orange County Fire Authority.
