Any law enforcement agency can inspect and sign-off your “correctable” traffic or parking citation. You are not required to have IPD sign off a citation that our department issued. In most cases, Irvine Police officers in the field are unable to assist you with a citation sign-off.

You can visit our Business Desk, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., to have your correctable traffic or parking citation signed off. The cost is $16, and we accept cash, credit cards, or checks. Please ensure that all corrections are made. Our personnel will inspect your vehicle before signing off on the citation.

There is a parking space reserved for “vehicle inspection” along the front steps of the Civic Center. Please park your vehicle in the reserved space or in a visitor space and proceed to the police department for assistance.

Once your citation is signed off, you are responsible for submitting the proof of correction to the court or the parking enforcement processing center. We are unable to process any citations at IPD.
