If you would like to surrender a firearm or ammunition, you can call the Irvine Police Department and have an officer respond to your location.

You can also make arrangements to drop off the items at the police department. Please do not bring any of these items into the police department. They should be safely stored in a locked box or locked in the trunk of your vehicle until you receive further instructions. Our personnel will work with you to make sure the items are handled safely.

If you encounter antique firearms or destructive devices and are unsure of their condition, please call 949-724-7000 and seek advice. Never handle a weapon or dangerous device if you are uncertain of its operation or condition.
