The Irvine Police Department uses two Tow Truck Companies for towing and impounding vehicles. Typically, officers will provide you with a CHP-180 form or other documents, such as a Traffic Collision Exchange of Information card, that will list where your vehicle was stored. If you can’t find the tow information, please call (949)724-7000. Please be prepared to give the Dispatcher your car’s license plate number or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

Private Property Towing
The Irvine Police Department does not manage private property parking, assigned or reserved parking spaces, time limits, or community rule violations. Private property owners and homeowners’ associations are responsible for towing cars from their property. To locate the tow company that towed your vehicle, refer to the parking signs at the property entrance, call your property owner or call (949) 724-7000. Please be prepared to give the Dispatcher your car’s license plate number or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
